This essay asks students to delve deeply into the characters of The Warmth of Other Suns through several layers of character compare/contrast. Once we see the similarities and differences, we then analyze what they teach us, what they reveal, what they mean, what they say about us. Students are encouraged to find new/inventive/creative analyses of the results of their compare/contrast.
